Where to Drink In a coffee-loving city, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find independent brands that make a point of serving up their beverages in time-honored fashion, and knowing where the ingredients are sourced. Like the whole Midwest, Detroit also has a strong beer tradition. The city has a large number of craft breweries, but also distilleries—harking back to the days of Prohibition!
