These services are a very expensive solution and should be avoided where possible. If it is not an absolute emergency, you’re better advised to seek out a walk-in clinic or medical clinic instead, where you will be received without an appointment. This will cost you at least $150, excluding the cost of treatment. w The two most popular drugstore chains offer, in some of their stores, genuine medical consultations at reasonable prices ($50-70). Visit the websites of Walgreens (www. walgreens.com) to find a take care clinic or CVS (www.CVS.com) for a minute clinic . This is a good option for obtaining, for example, prescription only antibiotics. Pharmacies Drugs and medicines are sold in drugstores . With the exception of prescription medicines, all are self service and the choice is huge. They are sorted by condition (eyes, nose, throat, ear, etc.). Most convenience stores and supermarkets have a small pharmacy section. The prices are very reasonable and a pharmacist will be able to provide you with medical advice.
